PADI Advanced Open Water Dive Course

Advanced Open Water Diver Course

Don't let the name mislead you, you don't have to be "advanced" to do this course - it's designed to advance your diving skills and experience.

You can complete this course right after your Open Water Course, it's aimed at building confidence and further developing your dive skills through a number of Adventure dives.  Upon completion you will be certified to dive to a depth of 30m and will have mastered new dive skills.

What’s involved

The course is run over two days, usually a weekend. You will complete some dive theory followed by 5 dives in total, 3 of these are shore based and 2 are from our dive charter vessel.  For more information about this course click here

You will need to have a PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent qualification from another training agency to participate on this course.

Where to go

Our shore dives will be conducted out of Waubs Bay in Bicheno. We will conduct three dives during the Saturday. These will include the following adventure dives:

  • Peak Performance Buoyancy
  • Underwater Navigation
  • Night Dive

On Sunday, we will be meeting at the Triabunna Wharf and conduct the following adventure dives:

  • Wreck dive
  • Deep dive

The wreck dive will be on the Troy D, a 55m hopper barge sunk off Maria Island in 2007. There is a fair amount of growth with soft corals typical of Tasmania's temperate water, and an abundance of jewe anenomes.

Once you have purchased a course we will email you within 24hrs (or sooner) your PADI eLearning key-pass so you can start your adventure of a lifetime!  We will also contact you to introduce ourselves and answer any immediate questions about your PADI course.
