Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy

Change of Mind

Please choose carefully — we do not normally offer refunds if you simply change your mind or make the wrong choice.


Returns

You may return most new, unopened items within 14 days of delivery for a refund, minus a 5% restocking fee based on the product price.
We’ll also cover return shipping costs if the return is the result of our error (e.g., you received an incorrect or defective item).

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be in the same condition that you received it — unworn, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.

  • You must provide the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to send your package.
Items sent back without prior authorisation will not be accepted.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, so we can evaluate and resolve the issue quickly.

If goods are faulty, wrongly described, or different from what was shown on the website, you are entitled under Australian Consumer Law to choose between a refund, exchange, or store credit.


Refunds

You should expect to receive your refund within approximately two weeks of returning your item.
This includes:

  • 5–10 business days for transit time,

  • 3–5 business days for us to process your return, and

  • 5–10 business days for your bank to process the refund.

Items That Cannot Be Returned

Due to the nature of certain products, we cannot accept returns for:

  • Open-cell wetsuits

  • Any item that has been used, worn, or damaged after delivery

  • All clearance items

Please ensure you check our sizing charts and product details carefully before purchase.


Exchanges

We want you to love your purchase! If something isn’t quite right, we’re happy to help with an exchange or replacement.

Eligibility for Exchange

  • Exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery.

  • Items must be unused, unwashed, and in their original packaging with all tags attached.

  • Proof of purchase (such as your order confirmation or receipt) is required.

  • For hygiene and safety reasons, mouthpieces, snorkels, wetsuits, and other personal gear cannot be exchanged unless faulty.

How to Request an Exchange

  1. Email admin@scubagearonline.com.au with your order number and the item you’d like to exchange.

  2. Once approved, we’ll provide return instructions and our return address.

  3. Send your item using a trackable shipping method, and email us the tracking number for our records.

  4. Once received and inspected, we’ll send your replacement item or issue a store credit if preferred.

Exchange Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs when exchanging an item, unless it is faulty or incorrect.
